Whaddaya think, would cheap plastic glue-on fender flares look good with the theme of the Murdersofa or not? I'm an awful artist, so I can't really draw a concept. I full-on widebody LeSabre would be hilarious though.
I think it might look a bit goofy considering the wheels tuck inside the fenders as it is, thus fenders would have no practical application.

Meh, probably not. It'll look like those kit car replicas.

As long as you have wheels and tires that need fender flairs. Also you should bag it. like yesterday.

I think that's a nice MurderSofa as is. It needs nothing but Doom.

do it.

Bags cost money. I really want to, but can't really afford it (and if I could I'd spend that money on a supercharger and water injection kit).
I might cut a coil out of the springs though. It rides way higher than I need or want it to.

It should enhance your James Bond effect.

Fender flares are the embodiment of doom

Does that mean I become suave and get more girls?

This is exactly what I was thinking of. But they have tires with a wider offset, and I have stock wheels/tires (though I desperately want/need new ones)

cutting springs ain't such a bad Idea. Especially when buying cheap aftermarket coils isn't an option, and I'm guessing it's not.

Cheap in this case is $200 or so, which is about $200 more than I have right now. Before I cut I might put on some clamps that take away a coil without cutting it, and see if I like it or not before I do anything permanent. The car looks really mean with the tops of the tires level with the top of the outer fender
![]() 09/03/2014 at 10:59 |

Don't do it until you get higher offset.

If you put flares on and you don't need them they will look stupid.

you should get some of those shitty Autozone stick on vents, put magnets on the back of them, and put them on to troll everyone. Say it's riminiscent of all the classic Buicks.

Yep, kind of a muffin top look. Bah, I need new rubber so bad.

dat body roll! how is your suspension holding up after such jalopperific abuse?

I just have to say that is one of the best pics I've seen in a while. Legit made me smile.

Just fine. The springs are massive (albeit soft), the lower control arm is more beefy than my sister's Silverado, and the bolts that hold everything together are sizeable as well

Only if you get racing steelies to match.
![]() 09/03/2014 at 12:03 |

I want steelies so bad. Turns out my car has the same bolt pattern as most mustangs (different offset though) so that opens up a lot of possibilities for wheels
![]() 09/03/2014 at 12:07 |

Racing Steelies have like, zero offset, so your flares will be functional!

I wonder how much a set of those is... hmm

Hopefully cheap! Because that would be badass.

I think you need Addcos before fender flares.

Maybe I could fundraise :P
![]() 09/03/2014 at 12:32 |

No. Don't do that.

Prostitution, maybe?
![]() 09/03/2014 at 14:00 |

Prostitution is always the answer. Especially when you have all that room in the backseat.

What about these? I would have gotten a set of these for my Ranger when I was looking for wheels, but they only come in 15" so I got Cragars

Woah, those are fantastic.
![]() 09/03/2014 at 16:28 |

I'm assuming your bolt pattern is 4.5"? I know that's what a lot of Mustangs were. (Again, from Ranger experience.)
![]() 09/03/2014 at 16:42 |

4.527", looks like.
![]() 09/03/2014 at 16:43 |
|
Metric then, I'm assuming.
![]() 09/03/2014 at 16:54 |
|
Possibly. Or it's a mis-measurement. I doubt .027 inches makes a difference.
Then again half of my car is metric and half is SAE, so god knows.

I wouldn't think it makes too much difference, but you never know.
